As foodies and Coeliacs we were fed up with poor quality, highly processed bread and cake so we began baking to feed ourselves. It turned out others felt the same way and Wildcraft Gluten Free Bakery was born.
Our products are tested on wheat-eating artisan bakers because we strive to make the best artisanal food that just happens to be gluten free. We squeeze in as many fresh, wholesome, local, seasonal ingredients as we can, but everyone still loves a treat; who wants to be denied guilty pleasures by their digestive systems?!
As an allergy conscious bakery we make sure we have something for everyone, from our artisan sourdough breads free from the 14 major allergens, to our freshly fried dairy free doughnuts, to our vegan Whoopie pies. And of course, there’s no gluten allowed in our kitchen!
Our bakery is situated five minutes down the road from our cafe and shop. Our small but hard working team produce a wide range of cakes, breads and pastries to supply our shop and cafe, our mail order and our wholesale services.
Launched in September 2020, our cafe and shop is a new venture for our business. Gone are the days of our small unit on an industrial estate! At first it will be a bigger version of what we already had at our Saturday bakery shop, but in a much nicer location, with somewhere cosy to sit and hot drinks available. Of course our full array of bakery products will be available for you to eat in and take home! Once we have ironed out all the kinks, then we will start increasing our range, opening times, and kitchen space. Watch this space!
